Weavers, printers and tailors of the Como district. Every SILKinCOM piece bears the signature of hands that have passed down their craft for generations.
Looms, threads and silk become scarves and foulards in the Como district: every step gives the piece its hand, drape and luminosity.

Jacquard loom at work
Master Weaver
Cermenate (CO)
He follows the rhythm of the jacquard loom, controlling weave, tension and thread alignment for silk scarves and foulards. He learned on the district's mechanical looms and today leads the Maison's weaving floor.

Silk dyeing in progress
Master Dyer
Como
Prepares the dye baths, monitors water pH, doses the dyes by fibre and batch weight. Silk dyeing demands exact temperatures, times and immersion speeds: a few degrees of variation can shift the colour. Every batch is matched by eye against the reference swatch before finishing.

Hand embroidery in progress
Embroiderer
Como
Hand-embroiders the details — logos, monograms, decorative motifs — on the silk foulards and scarves. Each stitch is set by eye with needle and silk thread matched to the fabric's weight. A custom monogram takes between 2 and 6 hours, depending on the complexity of the design.
