Weavers, dyers and finishers of the Como district. Every SILKinCOM piece bears the signature of hands that have passed down their craft for generations.
Yarns, colours and looms become silk foulards and cashmere scarves in the Como district: every step gives the piece its hand, drape and luminosity.

Dyeing the yarns
Master Dyer
Como
He prepares the dye baths and controls pH, temperature and immersion times. He dyes silk and cashmere yarns on the cone in the vats of the Como district: a few degrees shift the shade. Every batch is checked by eye against the reference sample before finishing.

Foulard on the jacquard loom
Master Weaver
Cermenate (CO)
He follows the rhythm of the jacquard loom and checks the weave, tension and thread feed. Under his hands silk becomes a foulard, with the SILKinCOM monogram woven into the cloth. He learned on the looms of the Como district and now leads the Maison's weaving.

Hand finishing & packaging
Finisher
Como
She sews the hems, attaches the labels and hand-finishes every piece before packaging. She checks the hand of the fabric, then folds and wraps foulards and scarves in the Maison gift box. She is the last to see the product before it reaches the client.
